Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Morgan Forness and I am honored to serve Central Cass Schools as the Superintendent. I am originally from the West Fargo, ND area growing up on a small farm. After graduating from High School in 1982, I attended NDSU for two years and graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN with a degree in Social Studies Education and a minor in Health/PE. Ultimately, I received my master's degree in Educational Administration from MSUM, Moorhead, MN and my Superintendent credential from Tri-College/NDSU!
This is my 29th year of being involved in education. Early in my career, I was a Social Studies teacher and Coach in Ada/Borup, MN and Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo, ND. More recently, I had roles as Dean of Students, Principal, and Athletic Director at Oak Grove and Superintendent and Administrator at Shiloh Christian School in Bismarck, North Dakota. While I have only been in my position at Central Cass for only one year, I have quickly recognized that Central Cass is a great place to work, with passionate and motivated teachers, and curious, energetic students who are eager to learn!
I have also served on various church councils, academic, and accreditation committees, as well as speaking at various Youth Leadership conferences. I am a believer in the "power of youth" and strive to help them to identify their gifts and look for ways to empower them to use those gifts serve others for a "common good" as they are important contributors to the shaping of a healthy school and community culture!
My wife and I currently live near Casselton with our 3 daughters. We raise horses and enjoy the outdoors, often trail riding the Sandhills of Leonard, ND and attending horse shows throughout North Dakota.
