Hi and welcome to high school science.

Physical science, chemistry, and physics are the courses that I teach. In addition to classroom instruction, I am excited to continue coaching/mentoring the high school Science Olympiad Team and the robotics club.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and my Master of Education Degree from NDSU.

I have a passion for science and am pleased that I have the opportunity to share it with you.

My name is Mr. Butler and this will be my 7th year of teaching physical education. This will be my 4th year at Central Cass and I am excited to teach Physical Education, Coaching, Officiating and Weightlifting. I graduated from Valley City State University with a bachelors degree in Physical and Health Education. I am the Head Football Coach and Head Boys Track and Field Coach. My wife Andrea who is a teacher at Fargo South High School and we have a little girl named Lydia that will be turning 2 this year.

Mrs. Cruff earned her degree and graduated from Valley City State University in 1986 with a Composite Art Major and a Bachelors degree in Education. Mrs. Cruff joined the Central Cass School system in 1995; prior to this time she was a substitute teacher in the North Carolina school system and was a volunteer in the Houston Inner School District.

Mr. Dasovick

Jeff Dasovick is currently in his sixth year of teaching at Central Cass and his sixteenth year of his career.  At Central Cass, Dasovick conducts the 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, Junior High Band, High School Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Ensemble.  

Prior to teaching at Central Cass, Dasovick spent ten years teaching at Trinity High School in Dickinson, ND where he conducted the High School Band, High School Choir, Junior High Band, Junior High Choir, Pep Band, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Drumline, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble.  Under his direction, the music programs at Trinity received numerous awards and were recognized on the local, regional and state levels.  
 
The High School Concert Band was awarded the First Place Award at the Region X Large Group Festival in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014.  The High School Concert Band was selected to perform at the 2011 ND Music Educator's Conference.  The jazz combo "The Tritones" received an Outstanding Band Trophy at the University of Mary Jazz Festival in 2013.  The "Titan" Drum & Bugle Corps has performed halftime shows for the State "B" Boy's Basketball Tournament and the Dakota Wizards.  
 
The High School Concert Choir has received the Third Place Award at the Region X Large Group Festival in 2013 and the Second Place Award in 2014 and the "Titan" Vocal Jazz Ensemble received the Third Place Award in 2011.  The High School Concert Choir has performed the National Anthem for both the Minnesota Twins and the Colorado Rockies. 
 
Dasovick has been recognized by his peers with the Golden Apple Award, the National Band Association's "Allegro" Award for outstanding development of band programs in the state of North Dakota, and the Dickinson Catholic Schools "Educator of the Year" Award.  He has also been nominated for the Grammy Music Educator Award. 
 
He holds a Master of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of North Dakota, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Performance, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and Business Administration from the University of Mary.
 
Dasovick is a member of the National Band Association (NBA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and is the member at large for Class B Instrumental Programs for the North Dakota High School Activities Association. 
 
Dasovick resides in West Fargo with his wife Amanda (1st Grade Teacher) and son Samuel (3 mos.)

Hello! I am the new Central Cass STEM Coordinator and will also be teaching Environmental Science and Forensics as well as the STEM class.  I am so looking forward to my first year at Casselton.  I have a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA and an MS in Science Education.  I’ve been teaching for 27 years – everything from Health to Chemistry, but my favorite is Environmental Science.  My philosophy of teaching is based upon real-world application: My hope is that students in my classes never have to wonder—“Why do I need to know this????” My husband and daughter and I live on a farm NW of West Fargo and we enjoy horses, chickens, and gardening.  We are an avid 4H family and enjoy the outdoors.  I will be housed in the STEM Center, so come and visit me and try out some of the awesome toys we have there!

Hello!  I’m DeAnn Grommesh, the Family & Consumer Science (FACS) Teacher. I teach Foods 1 and 2, Nutrition & Fitness, Child Development, Housing, Textiles 1 & 2, Consumer Resource Management and FACS 8.

I am also the advisor for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Philanthropy and Youth (PaY).  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from NDSU and have been at Central Cass since 2000.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from my first day of kindergarten! I feel privileged to work with students each day and love the practical hands-on curriculum of FACS.  Hope to see you soon!

Hello, my name is Lisa Hoffman and I'm the Business and Marketing teacher at Central Cass. I became a Squirrel in 2005.

I attended UND where I earned two bachelor degrees; one in Business Administration and one in Business Education.  I later earned my masters degree from MSUM in Education Leadership.

I love being a teacher and working with students every day.  I am looking forward to another year in the classroom, running the Squirrel's Den and helping students prepare for DECA competition.

I live in Fargo with my husband, Ryan.  We have two girls; Molly and Leah who are active in music and sports. During the summer we take advantage of our time off and enjoy as many days at the lake as we can.

¡Hola! I am Mrs. Preston, the middle and high school Spanish teacher.

The Spanish classes at CCPS include Introduction to Spanish through level Spanish 4. What a privilege it is to be able to work with you all. I am so looking forward to this coming year!

I received my high school diploma from Valley City Public School and later my Bachelor of Science in Spanish and English from Valley City State University. I later received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Capella University. I currently live in the rural Oriska, ND area and I have been married for 31 years.

I am also the Spanish Club director.  We travel to a Spanish speaking county every three years.  We are looking at going to Peru in June of 2021.

My name is Mark Roe and the 2019-2020 school year will be my fourth year at Central Cass, and my seventh overall teaching. I am excited to be teaching 12th Grade POD, 11th Grade U.S. History, AP U.S. Government, and a 10-12th Grade elective course in Criminal Law.

Outside of my teaching responsibilities, I also serve as a Junior High football coach and as an assistant wrestling coach. I recently completed my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with a K-12 Principal emphasis. I am also in the process of taking more history courses through VCSU in order to teach dual credit courses in the future. My wife, Bri, also works for the Central Cass School District. She is one of the second grade teachers here.

My name is Mrs. Young, and this will be my 10th year teaching English. I graduated in 2010 from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a minor in Spanish Education. I graduated in 2019 from VCSU with a Masters of Education with a concentration in English. I also served on the North Dakota Council of Teachers of English for five years and continued my writing education through the Red River Valley Writing Project Summer Institute. Prior to teaching at CCHS, I taught in Enderlin for 3 years. I look forward to teaching English 9, English 11, and Dual-Credit English Composition this upcoming school year!

Hello, my name is Todd Weinmann.  I currently live in Fargo with my wife Janet, and I have two daughters one in college to be a music teacher and one in college to be a cosmetologist.  I have 2 cats and a dog.  My educational background includes a B.S. in Agronomy from SDSU and an M.S. in Agronomy from NDSU.  I like to fish, camp, and read.  I enjoy being here at school and have met many excellent students.
